About

Hi! My name is Kim- and I am in the process of trying to become a Proverbs 31 wife. I have been married to my wonderful, God-sent husband, Gary, since April 2007. I am a social worker in our county’s Department of Human Services, and my husband works for an international food services management company (mainly school district & college cafeterias…).

I struggled for the first several months of our marriage trying to figure out how to get it all done. All the housework, meals, laundry, being there for my husband, having time to myself, and working outside the home full time. I found lots of good ideas on many websites, but the main theme that these other websites worked around was ideas for stay-at-home-moms (SAHM). I want to be a mom, someday (to something other than our two “puppies”)- but I need help being a housewife NOW! And I need help figuring out how to get it all done while I also work outside my home 9+ hours a day, 5 days a week. It is such a different situation than a SAHM, and I know that there are so many like me that are beginning their married lives, and need some advice or techniques to make it all fit into the available time they have.

I am not claiming to be an expert, but want to share the things I have found work for me. Hopefully someone else will stumble accross this website in the same situation I was in 8 months ago, and find some advice that will keep them from stumbling like I did. My prayer is that anyone who finds their way to this website will be blessed by what they find- and have support and ideas that will get them closer to thier goal of becoming a Proverbs 31 wife.

Meet our family- Gary, with Jonah in front of him. And Oreo is in front of me. :-)
